Abe Vucekovich

Consulting Bar Director

Born and raised in Chicago, Abe has been working in the hospitality industry for the better part of 15 years. In early 2015, Vucekovich joined the team at The Violet Hour, which won the James Beard Award that summer for Best Bar in America. After spending 7 years behind the bar learning, developing cocktail menus, teaching countless cocktail classes, and leading The Violet Hour through the pandemic as the Beverage Director/GM, Abe moved onto new ventures.  In March of 2022, Vucekovich accepted a Beverage Director role at Lardon and Union in Logan Square while also opening an adjoined cocktail bar The Meadowlark. Since its opening in October of 2022, The Meadowlark has been named Best Bar in America 2023 by Esquire, nominated for Best New Bar by Tales of the Cocktail 2023 and 2024, placed #32 in 50 Best North America 2024, named Best Bar in Chicago by Eater Chicago, nominated for a Jean Banchet award for Best Bar 2024, and winning 50 Best North America’s Siete Misterios Best Cocktail Menu 2024, as well as other accolades and nominations.
